Assure an appropriate table height. The table height is depending on the position of the
operator, (work in sitting or standing position) according to prEN 894-4:2004, Table A.1.
+
The crimping machine CS 300 has no own light source. Assure an appropriate illumination
of the working place. (EN 1837:1999
– chapter 4.2: “The general value of illumination has
to be 500 lx [...]").
+
Place the cables on the floor so that they do not cause a trip hazard!
+
Cables must not be damaged.
+
Place the foot pedal on the floor. No other place is allowed. The foot pedal must be
movable, so that the operator has the possibility to change his position for ergonomic and
production needs.
+
The position of the foot pedal should be chosen in that way, that a free access will be
possible.
+
Assure free access to the operating elements of the machine, especially the foot pedal
and the release button (latching). In the case of imminent danger immediately press the
release button. The release button must be within the direct reach of the operator. It must
not be covered.
+
To work fatigue-proof, the user has to take a working position where the machine is at the
right height and the foot pedal is accessible. The foot pedal has to be installed in a stable
position.
+
Before starting maintenance, disassembly or repair work, the crimping machine must be
disconnected from power supply. Touching live parts can cause danger of electrocution
with fatal consequences!
+
Maintenance work may be performed only by authorized and properly trained staff. The
housing and the covers in particular may only be removed by specially trained staff.
+
It is absolutely essential that the electric Crimping Machine CS 300 is disconnected from
the electricity supply if maintenance or service jobs have to be carried out on machine and
equipment parts, unless anything to the contrary is stated in the operating instruction. The
disconnected parts must first be checked to ensure that they no longer carry any current;
then they must be earthed and short-circuited. Adjacent parts carrying current must be
insulated.
+
Due to the risk of hand or finger injury, never try to reach into the electric Crimping Machine
CS 300 before having assured that the machine is disconnected from the power supply.

Disconnect the power supply by pressing the ON/OFF switch and by pulling out the main
plug before mounting or exchanging the adapter, tool head or die set.
+
The electrical equipment of the machine must be checked regularly, faults such as loose
connections or scorched cables must be removed immediately.
+
Select the right voltage with voltage selector.
+
Use a power supply cable with a main plug of your norm (with protective contact).
+
The electric Crimping Machine CS 300 is only allowed to be operated with properly
mounted WEZAG approved adapters, crimp heads and crimp die sets.
+
The electric Crimping Machine CS 300 may only be set up and operated in perfect
technical condition, observing all the safety regulations and considering any possible
dangers.
+
In case of a jam of the dies, press the release button and disconnect the machine from
power supply.
