1. Safety Notes
Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions,
damage or physical injury:
•
Before taking any measurements always check the device for possible
damage. In the event of any damage, do not attempt to take measure-
ments. Have the device repaired by an authorized technician.
•
Remove the probes from the component of circuitry to be tested before
pressing the function button.
•
Never connect the measuring probes to a power source.
•
Avoid measuring voltages (e.G. capacitors) of more than 50 V DC or 36 V
AC. Do not connect power sources to the probes. Otherwise there is a
danger of injury and/or damage to the unit.
•
Carry out measurements only on an insulated floor, in dry clothing and
wearing rubber shoes (or standing on a rubber mat). Do not touch any
metallic objects.
•
Do not touch bare wires or live areas of the device during measurements.
•
Only use original accessories.
•
Keep the device out of the range of children.
