Vehicles fitted with an ex works towing attachment have already been equipped with towing
suspension. It the towing attachment is retrofitted, we recommend the towing suspension also be
retrofitted.
If higher tyre pressures are specified in the Owners Manual for vehicles fitted with a towing
attachment or for towing operation itself, always observe them.
Whenever a trailer is being towed, always observe the relevant advice given in the Owners Manual.
The trailer must be equipped with an appropriate towing coupling ball.
If installing the towing bracket necessitates the removal of the towing eye, the towing bracket
serves as a substitute, provided the permissible towed weight is not exceeded and towing takes
place on normal roads.
The ball and coupling must be kept clean and greased.
Important:
When using track stabilising devices, e.g. the Westfalia SSK", the coupling ball
must be free of grease.
Observe the instructions given in the Operating Instructions.
Check the ball diameter from time to time. As soon as a diameter of 49 mm is reached at any given
point, the towing bracket must no longer be used due to safety reasons.
The approved mounting parts as specified by the vehicle manufacturer are used with this towing
bracket.
National guidelines concerning official approval of auxiliaries must be observed.
These Installation Instructions must be kept with the vehicle papers.
