3.1 OCGUI
Sanitizing the Device
Step 11 :
Click the storage device's
Administration
icon:
The
Administration
information appears. If all paths and volumes have been deleted, the
Sanitize
button will be enabled:
Step 12 :
Click the
Sanitize
button:
A window appears, prompting the user to confirm the sanitization. A drop-down lists allows
the user to select from the following sanitize options:
•
Start Block Erase
– deletes the mapping table and erases all the blocks that have been
written to the device
•
Start Crypto Erase
– deletes the encryption key, making the data unrecoverable
Step 13 :
Select the appropriate erase option. Then click
Sanitize
:
A progress modal appears, showing that the sanitization is in progress:
