security
functions

user

remote
management
through
SNMP
protocol.
It
delivers
SNMP
information

administrator

user
authentication;
all

data

encrypted
to
ensure
secure
communication.

user
can
select
the
following
levels
of
security:
None,
User
Authentication,
and
Authentication
with
privacy.

Protocol

Here
the
user
can
select
either
MD5
(Message
‐
Digest
algorithm
5)
or
SHA
(Secure
Hash
Algorithm).
MD5
is
a
widely
used
cryptographic
hash
function
with
a
128
‐
bit
hash
value.
