Getting started
DDW-100 is easy to use and install, the units work in pair, one as have to be configured
as CO (
C
entral
O
ffice) and one as CPE (
C
ustomer
P
remises
E
quipment).This configura-
tion is made by DIP-switches placed under the lid in DDW-100.
Connect the SHDSL Line
There is two options for connecting the SHDSL line:
1) Connect the twisted pair to DSL screw terminal 1 and 2 (polarity independent)
placed in the bottom of DDW-100.
2) Connect the line through RJ-11 to the DSL line placed in the front of DDW-100.
Note!
These two connections are parallel, it is not possible to use both at the same
time.
Connect the Ethernet Line
Connect Ethernet to the TX port placed in the front of DDW-100.
Factory settings for DDW-100 is plug and play mode where TX port is enabled for:
… Ethernet Auto-negotiation enabled.
… Auto MDI/MDI-X.
… Auto-polarity enabled.
DDW-100 will automatically sense the speed of the connected unit and if a crossed cable
is used.
Settings in the units
The units operates in pairs, one is working as CO (

quipment). Factory setting in DDW-100 is as CO.
Note!
Before connection and installation one of the connected unit have to be
reconfigured as CPE
Depending on the quality of the line and the distance there is possibility to select the
optimised speed.
This is done via DIP switches in the unit configured as CO. Factory default is 192 kbit/s.
When selecting higher speed note if the DSL link is established, if not, the selected speed
is to high fore the distance.
