7.1.4 Cleaning of the condenser fins – only for air-cooled units-
! ATTENTION
The condenser fins are sharp-edged and you can injure yourself. Wear suitable protective
gloves!
7. Switch off the machine by pressing the on / off button once.
8. Remove the ventilation grille (cover and front plate on IC135
models) to access the condenser fins.
9. Remove dirt particles, dust and lint that have settled in the
condenser fins with a coarse-bristled brush (not a metal
brush!). In the case of stubborn dirt, blow out the slats with
compressed air. Then simply suck off the dissolved dust with a
vacuum cleaner.
10. Spray contamination caused by fat deposits (especially when
placed in the kitchen area) with a grease-dissolving cleaning
agent, leave to act for a while and then rinse with warm water
(make sure that cleaning agent and water do not come into
contact with electrical components). Blow the condenser fins dry
with compressed air (in case of high humidity) or rub dry with a
cloth.
11. Reattach the ventilation grille or front plate and cover

7.3 Maintenance
Regularly (approx. once a month) check the water supply tube and water drain tube for leaks
and adequate slope.
For water-cooled machines, the cooling water controller should be checked regularly for proper
function, because failure of the cooling water controller to close or close fully will lead to
increased water consumption and therefore higher operating costs. The condensation
temperature should be 30°C. With the machine switched off, no water should emerge from the
cooling water drain tube. Built-in machines may have to be removed for this purpose.
During reinstallation, prevent bending or kinking of the drain tube or the cooling water drain
tube, so that the water can drain freely!
IMPORTANT:
Other maintenance work should only be carried out by authorised WESSAMAT service
technician or service staff from authorised specialised dealers !
The frequency of maintenance depends on the place of installation and the water quality (e.g.
water hardness, contaminants etc.). Maintenance schedules therefore have to be determined
individually and can either be agreed jointly or recommended by your specialist dealer
