6. Operation
6.1 Functionality
At the beginning of the ice making process, the tub
moves up and closes the evaporation cups. The tub is
filled with water via the fresh water inlet.
After the filling level has been reached, water is pumped
into the injector and the vaporizer cups are filled with
water. The water in the cooled evaporator cups freezes
and forms ice cubes.
After the production time has expired, the remaining water
is directed into the drain via a separate drainage channel
and thus does not come into contact with ice cubes that
have already been produced, which thus remain
hygienically perfect.
The automatically initiated defrosting phase detaches the
ice cubes produced from the evaporator cups and falls into
the storage container.
IC135 ECL, ECW only:
The loosened cubes fall down and get into the combi module, where they are shredded or remain unchanged,
depending on the position of the selector switch. The ice cubes or crushed ice then go into the respective storage
container, where they are available for
removal.
After all the ice cubes have fallen, the tub
swings back under the evaporator cups.
Now the ice-making process begins again,
which is repeated until the storage container is
full.
When the storage container is completely full,
the device switches off automatically and
switches on again automatically when enough
ice cubes have been removed from the
storage container.
NOTE:
To prevent dirt, dust or vermin from getting into the storage container, the removal flap must always be
kept closed after removing the ice.
NOTE:
In the event of operational breaks that exceed 2-3 days (e.g. company holidays), the ice maker must
always be taken out of operation (also disconnected from the mains!) This saves you electricity and
water. In addition, the remaining water from the last ice making is completely emptied from the tub,
which is strongly recommended for hygienic reasons during breaks in operation.
