7.6. External Teach-In via the Bus Terminal

NOTE!
A bus connection terminal from Phoenix Contact (order number MCVR 1,5/10-ST-3,81) is re-
quired for electrical connection of the teach-in input. It’s not included in the scope of delivery.
Initialisation
Before starting external Teach-In, the desired Teach-In method must be selected, once only, at the
sensor.
7.6.1. Normal External Teach-In
(Initialize normal teach-in: Turn the rotary selector switch

to position 2
Press the Teach-In key

Turn the rotary selector switch

to RUN)
• Turn the rotary selector switch

to RUN
• Apply 10 V...30 V to the teach-in input (with reference to minus pole for at least 0,3 sec.)

• Disconnect voltage from the Teach-In input

Teach-in sequence complete
