3. Beforebeginningwork,makeatestcutonscrapmaterialwiththeTablesetat90º.
4. Checkthecutwithanaccuratesquare.Youcanalsoreversethetwopieces,holdthecutends
together,andholdagoodstraightedgealongthesideofthepieces.
5. Ifeithertestrevealsthatthecutisnotatrue90ºangle,youmustadjusttheGuideFencebefore
beginningwork.
6. ToadjusttheGuideFence,firstunplugthetool.
7. LowertheBladeAssemblyandlockitinplaceusingtheLockingPin.
8. Layareliablecarpenter’ssquareontheTablewithoneedgealongthebladeandtheotheralong
theGuideFence.Anyinaccuracyshouldbevisible.
NOTE:
Thesquaremustcontactthesurfaceoftheblade,nottheteeth,foranaccuratereading.
9. TheGuideFenceisheldinplacewithboltsateachend.Loosentheboltsslightly,andgentlytap
theGuideFenceintopositionusingasoftmallet.Retightentheboltsandmakeanothertestcut.
RepeattheprocessuntiltheGuideFenceisadjustedaccurately.
10.OncetheGuideFenceisaccuratelyadjusted,tightentheboltsfirmlyinplace.Recheckonelast
time,thenproceedtowork.
Bevel Angle Adjustment
1. Formakingaccuratecuts,thesawblademustbeadjustedtobeexactlyverticaltotheTable.
2. Tochecktheangle,havetheBladeAssemblyinitsnormaluprightposition.Makeacutonapiece
offlatsided,fairlythickscrapmaterial.
3. Checkthecutwithanaccuratesquare.Thecutshouldbeatexactly90º.Youcanalsocheckby
rotatingonecut-offpiece180ºandholdthecutendstogether.Ifthecutisnotexactlyvertical,the
twopieceswillformaslightangle.
4. Ifnecessary,thebevelanglecanbecorrectedbyadjustingtheBevelAdjustmentScrewontheright
sideundertheBevelLockingLever.
5. Oncethebevelangleisadjusted,adjusttheBevelAngleIndicatortoread0ºwhenthesawbladeis
intheverticalposition.LoosenthescrewholdingtheIndicatorinplace,adjustittobeexactlyover
the0ºmark,thenretightenthescrew.
Kerf Board Adjustment or Replacement
1. IftheKerfBoardbecomesdamageditmustbereplaced.
2. RemovethefourscrewsholdingtheKerfBoardinplace.
