3. LoosentheBevelLockKnob(Fig.4)attherearofthesawby
turningitcounter-clockwiseandsettheSawArmat0ºbevel
(blade90ºtotheMiterTable).
4. PlaceacombinationsquareontheMiterTableandtheflatpartof
theSawBlade(makingsurethesquareisnottouchinganyblade
teeth).
5. Slowlyrotatethebladebyhand,checkingthesquare'salign-
mentwiththebladeatseveralpoints.Theedgeofthesquare
andbladeshouldbeparallel;however,ifthetoporbottomofthe
bladeanglesawayfromthesquare'sedge,anadjustmentisneeded.
6. Usinga10mmwrench,loosentheLockNut(securingthepositive
bevelstopadjustmentboltinplace).The0ºbeveladjustment
bolt(Fig.5)islocatedontherearrightsideoftheMiterTable.
7. UseanAllenwrenchtoturntheadjustmentscrewandsothatthe
bladeisinalignmentwiththesquare.
8. Retightenthebeveladjustmentlocknut.RetightentheBevelLock
Handle.Recheckthebladetotablealignmentasinsteps4and5.
Making a Cut
1. Observeallsafetyandplanningitemsdiscussedinthismanual.Detailedinstructionsoneachofthe
followingstepsarediscussedinthismanual.Donotmakeanycutsuntilyouhavereadthisentire
manualandarefamiliarwiththeoperationofthistool.
2. ReleasetheLockingPintoallowtheBladeAssemblytocomeup.ChecktobesuretheTableis
fixedinplaceatthedesiredmiterangle.
3. BlowanysawdustordebrisawayfromtheGuideFence.PlacetheworkpieceagainsttheGuide
Fence.
4. Makeanynecessarymiterorbeveladjustments.
5. AlignthemarkedlocationofthecutontheworkpiecewiththeSawBlade.BeawarethattheSaw
Bladewillremovematerialfromthecutequaltothewidthoftheblade.Thisisthe“Kerf”.Toprevent
yourworkpiecefrombeingcuttooshort,aligntheedgeofthebladewithyourmeasuredmark,
keepingtheKerfonthewastesideofthecut.
6. HoldtheworkpieceinplaceusingtheHoldDownClamp.Ensurethattheworkpieceisleveland
supportedsecurely,usingsawhorsesorsupportsifnecessary.
7. GriptheSawHandleandsqueezetheTriggertostarttheBladeturning.
