2.5 Important safety information
When using electrical appliances, particularly in the presence of children, basic
safety precautions should always be taken.
•
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
•
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without supervision.
•
The following applies in addition:

Electric shock
Even when the appliance is switched off at the ON/OFF switch

electrical parts, as in most electrical appliances, are still live. As water
is a very good conductor of electricity, it is especially important to
comply with the following safety instructions!
• Do not use the appliance in the bath.
• If the appliance falls into water, do not reach into the water.
• Remove the

• Do not immerse or drop the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Do not put the appliance down or store it in a place where it can fall
or be pulled into a washbasin or bathtub.

substances for cleaning.
• The appliance must not be covered by towels or similar items.
• Under no circumstances should the ventilation openings in the

• Do not use the appliance outdoors or in places where aerosols
