Safety

2.1

Proper use

The gateway is intended for DIN rail assembly and installation in a control cabinet (plus

applicable regulations) as well as continuous operation together with a KNX power sup-

ply.

2.2

Security measures

▪

When planning and constructing electrical installations, the relevant guidelines, rules

and regulations of the respective country must be observed.

▪

The device may only be installed and put into operation by an electrician or authorized

specialist.

▪

Observe the safety instructions and warnings.

▪

Use only suitable tools according to IEC60715 for assembly.

▪

In the event of faults or error messages, the causes must be found and the error or

failure must be corrected immediately.

▪

Electrical work may only be carried out by professionals for electrical installations.

▪

Accessibility to the device must always be guaranteed for reasons of usability and in-

spection.

Normal operation

▪

After connection to the KNX bus system, the device works as intended.

▪

After its first connection, the device works with default settings and can be configured

for normal operation.

▪

The configured device will then work as intended for normal operation.

▪

The display of the device must be clearly visible and readable.

2.3

Disposal

At the end of its useful life, the product described in this manual is classified as waste

from electronic devices and cannot be disposed together with the general residual waste.

As this product falls within the scope of WEEE Directive 2002/96EC, please leave for re-

cycling in appropriate places. Contact your local waste disposal company for recycling

information.
