Installation

Procedure

▶

Mount the device on the rail.

▶

Connect the gateway to the IP network with an Ethernet cable.

▶

Strip the wires of the bus cable and equip them with a KNX terminal for TP.

▶

When stripping/connecting/assembling, always make sure that no electrical insulation

is damaged.

General information on the routing of KNX bus cables can be found in the KNX Associa-

tion's "Basic Knowledge on the KNX Standard" brochure (KNX-Basics_en.pdf).

▶

Observe regulations on KNX bus cables and their use and observe the prescribed dis-

tances to higher voltage lines.

▶

Connect the KNX TP terminal.

Device starts. (If the programming LED flashes, the Ethernet cable is not connected

correctly or no network connection is available.)

NOTE

Do not connect the gateway directly to 230 V!

Risk of damage.
The device is powered by the KNX TP bus system. Information on the supply of KNX bus

lines is available on https://support.knx.org/ and can be found in the installation and op-

erating instructions for KNX bus voltage supply.
