When using a humidifier

it is positioned

between SOMNO

vent

and the hose sys-

tem

. For this the inlet connection stub

and the electrical connection of the heating
element have to be aligned with the
SOMNO

vent

S. When doing so, please also

observe the operating instructions included.

Bacteria filter

If SOMNO

vent

S is to be used by several pa-

tients (e.g. at hospital), the bacteria filter
WM 24148 should be used to protect
against infection. It is installed between the
hose system and SOMNO

vent

S or humidifi-

er. When doing so, please also observe the
operating instructions included.

As this filter causes additional resistance in
the air stream, there may be changes in the
reaction of the unit in some patients. There-
fore, if a bacteria filter is added later, the
unit's parameters should be reset.
