User Manual Managed Switches
210
NOTE:
If the setting of the port for the MAC Table Learning is Secure, make sure the link
used for managing the switch is added to the static MAC table before saving. Otherwise
the management link will be lost and can only be restored by using another non-secure
port, by connecting to the switch via the serial interface or by restoring the default values.
NOTE:
If the learning mode for a given port is grayed out, it means the user cannot
change the configurations because of the current programming of the switch. An
example of such programming is MAC-Based authentication under 802.1X.

3.14.2 MAC Address Table Status
This page provides an overview of the MAC table entries. The page shows up to 999 entries from the
MAC table, default being 20, selected through the
Entries per page
input field. When first visited, the
web page will show the first 20 entries from the beginning of the MAC table. The first displayed will be
the one with the lowest VLAN ID and lowest MAC found in the table. The
Start from MAC address
and
Start from VLAN ID
fields allow the user to select the starting point in the MAC table. Clicking
the
Refresh
button will update the displayed table starting from that or the next closest MAC table
match.
