Function of the steam generator
The Sanoasa Wellness Multicentre cabin's steam generator has an
electrical power supply of 6.6 kW with a voltage of 400 V three-phase
AC current or 230 V AC current. 3 x 16 A electrical fuses must be
provided. The steam generator is intended for private use only.
It must not be used for commercial purposes. The electronic
wiring for the steam generation system is fully pre-installed at the
factory. The operator of the Sanoasa Wellness Multicentre cabin
must have the two central junction boxes connected by a trained
and approved electrician.
The voltage supply to the power supply line must not be inter-
rupted. For that reason, switches or the like are not permitted
on the supply line.
The built-in steam generator is equipped with a water reservoir
made of stainless steel as well as acid- and rust-proof pipe elements.
•
The steam generator is automatically drained one hour after it is
switched off (automatic 4x flushing).
•
The steam generator is equipped with an electronic controller for
the water level, electronic low water-level cut-off, limescale-re-
pellent, selfcleaning electrodes, built-in safety valve, built-in tem-
perature cut-off and built-in dirt filter (splash-proof design).
The steam generator is fitted with a built-in temperature cut-off
and switches off when a temperature of 107 °C is reached
in the water reservoir. Under the steam device there is a master
switch. This built-in master switch should only be used if the sys-
tem is to remain switched off for a long period of time. The auto-
matic draining function stops if there is any type of power failure.
This automatic function significantly reduces limescale deposits
and contamination in the water reservoir. To ensure the automatic
draining and rinsing will work, a switch possibly located between
the fuse box and steam generator can be switched off at the earli-
est 80 minutes after the timer is triggered on the control panel.
Descaling the steam generator
Descaling must be carried out at regular intervals. This removes
limescale deposits from the walls of the container and from the
heating elements. Regular descaling extends the service life of the
steam generator. If descaling is not regularly carried out in accor-
dance with the table listed under Section 5.3.1, the steam genera-
tor will very quickly become damaged and the device cannot be
repaired. It is recommended to install a water softener in areas
with hard water, i.e. above 5° dH (German hardness). Further in-
formation on the steam generator can be found in the manufac-
turer's operating instructions.
5.3.1
Procedure for descaling
Descaling may only be carried out by trained specialists.
1. Unscrew the cap nut at the top of descaling pipe no. 1.
2. Start the steam generator and let it run until the water in the
container is boiling.
3. Switch off the steam generator and wait at least 5 minutes.
4. Dissolve the descaling powder in 200 ml hot water and wait
for 30 minutes. With the help of a funnel, pour this solution
into the copper pipe (no. – see pipework plan) and rinse down
with approx. 300 ml water.
5. Screw the cap nut on to the copper feed pipe and tighten.
Allow the descaling agent to take effect.
Maximum running time before descaling:
As the following table shows, the requirement for manual descal-
ing depends on the water quality and running time: If the steam
bath is only used rarely, it is recommended to descale the bath
generally at least every three to four months.
(generator output: VB 6.6 kW)
Sulphamic acid descaling agent: 50 ml
Solvent descaling agent: 1 pack (80 g)
Important information:
The steam coming out of the steam nozzle is hot. The temperature of the
steam is over 100°C. Never leave those in your care or those under 16 years
of age unattended in the cabin. Do not pass or place your hand into or in
front of the steam outlet while the steam generator is operating.
Important information:
Nach ca. 1 Stunde erfolgt automatisches Entleeren und Spülen des Behäl-
ters und der Dampfgenerator kann wieder in Betrieb genommen werden.
