Received frequencies from the VHF antenna will be divided and then
amplified. So you can receive DVBT on your DVBT receiver together with
your board antenna. Also you can connect a car radio to it.
Amplification in DVB-T range:
350 – 870 MHz @ 20dB +- 3 dB
Amplification in FM range:
150-500 kHz @ ~10dB
1-108MHz @ >= 13dB

and car radio(right).

It is used as an easy plug and play solution. Just connect the NMEA2000
connector to your network aboard and your AIS data should come to your
chartplotter.
