Make sure that your battery is unlocked, remove it from the battery compartment.
Secure the tip of the charger into the port located on the back of the battery near the handlebar grip.
Rotate the plastic cover protecting the port to make the connection. Connect the mains plug
into an electrical outlet and check that the LED lights up on the charger.
Allow between 2.5-3h (36V 6.6Ah battery)/5-6h (36V 13.2Ah battery)/6-7h (36V 17.4Ah battery)
for a complete charge.
Disconnect the charger from the outlet when charging is complete.
Don't forget to lock your battery when installing it on the bike.
Battery Life
Your battery will be subjected to a break-in period. It will begin its definitive service life after around 10
uses.
After charging your battery, it is advisable to let it rest for 20 to 30 minutes before use.
The service life varies depending on the battery used: 36V 6.6Ah, 36V 13.2Ah or 36V 17.4Ah.
36V 6.6Ah battery: 25-45 km
36V 13.2Ah battery: 60-80 km
36V 17.4Ah battery: 70-110km
This service life range depends on several usage factors:
- The choice of the mode of assistance
- The weight of the user
- The difference in road elevation
- Tyre inflation
- The wind
- Pedalling effort supplied
- Starting and stopping frequency
- Outdoor temperature
Warning, precautions
It is recommended to recharge the batteries on a regular basis, or after each use. There is no memory
effect on these batteries.
To maximise the service life of your battery, it is recommended:
-
to avoid hot places (ideal charging temperature is 20°C)
-
to allow the battery to cool down 30 minutes after using the bike
Precautions for use:
- Use the battery only for the bike in question.
- Use only the specific charger supplied to charge the battery.
- Only charge the battery in a well-ventilated area.
- Do not expose the battery to heat or charge it in direct sunlight.
- Do not disassemble or modify the battery.
- Do not connect the (+) and (-) connections of the battery to a metal object.
- Do not expose the battery to liquids.
- Do not use a damaged battery.
- Do not continue to charge the battery if the charge is not complete at the end of the theoretical
charging time.
- Do not use the battery if it emits an unusual odour, heats up in an unusual way or if something
seems abnormal.
- Keep the battery out of the reach of children.
- Recharge your battery prior to long-term storage and perform the same operation after storage.
Follow the instructions on the battery charger label.
Service life of the batteries
Batteries can suffer from aging of their performance after numerous charges. This will depend on the
usage patterns of the electric bike. In general, the energy capacity will be reduced by 20 to 30% after
500 cycles (charging and discharging) for lithium batteries.
You must bring your used batteries to your dealer or to specialised recycling collection points. Above
all, do not throw your batteries in nature at the end of their service life.
3) Charger
