Operation

Looped

The instrument's generator and receiver are connected to different ports, with the Tx signal
looped back to the receiver. Using this topology, it is possible to configure the physical layer for
different bit rates or mappings for the generator and receiver. An ATM mapping must, however,
be selected for the Tx and Rx sides.
