Connection outdoor unit / indoor unit (refrigerant lines)
8.2.1
Installation of refrigerant lines
The refrigerant line connection (10 / 16 x 1.0 mm or 6.35 / 12.7 x 1.0 mm)
is made via LOKRING system (connection material included in delivery).
Maximum line length: 75 m (one way).
For refrigerant line we recommend the use of pre-insulated original
WATERKOTTE double-copper tube rings (10 / 16 x 1,0 mm (Z16956) or
6,35 / 12,7 x 0,8 mm (Z18093*) and matching screw clamps (Z16957).

The connection pieces of the two refrigerant lines are insulated up to trans-
fer point. To install connecting lines, use the supplied LOKRING elbow (fig.)
and reinforcement sleeves (only Ai1QLi 5004 and 5006) and support
sleeves for the installation of the connecting lines.
Important:
If you use standard 3/8“ Cu-
pipes
, you need LOKRING reduction couplings
(Z17084) for 9.53 x 1 mm (3/8“) to 10 x 1 mm Cu pipes
and reinforcement
sleeve (Z17088).
Use only connection lines with specified diameters, since the supplied con-
nection material is only made for these diameters. Failure to comply results
in leaks!
Installing connection lines with smaller diameters (e.g. 3/8“ – 9.53 x 1 mm)
requires special connection material (see product range).
