5.4 Mounting the
power unit
The power unit of the Wisotronic is available in 3 versions: as a DIN rail-
mounted device (REG), in a surface-mounted housing or in a flush-mounted
housing. The device is to be mounted in a dry and readily accessible loca-
tion. It absolutely must not be mounted outdoors and must not be subjected
to direct sunlight.
WARNING
In a permanently routed installation, there must be a disconnecting and
isolating switch to separate the power unit of the Wisotronic from the
operating voltage (switch according to EN 60335-1, Section 25.3, e.g.
circuit breaker).
Please observe the cable types recommended in the wiring diagrams.
NOTE
When installing the device in a distributor, it must be mounted on a symmetri-
cal DIN rail (35 mm as per DIN EN 50022).
WARNING
The minimum clearance between the terminals and another object equals
10 mm in the rail-mounted variant. When the power unit is properly
mounted in a surface-mounted or flush-mounted housing, there is no
minimum clearance between the terminals and another object.
