is a solid-liquid screw press type separators.
For the proper operation of the equipment it is important for the fluid to be processed to be pumpable.
The separator consists of:
- inlet module
- separation and conveying module
- compaction module
The feeding section is provided with compensator tank and overflow outlet; is designed so to allow the flowing
of the material directly into the separation module. The inlet is positioned at the bottom side of the equipment.
The separation and conveying section consists of two vertical screw conveyors having opposite directions of
rotation inside the screen through which the separated fraction flows while the conveyors push the solid frac

tion towards the compaction module in the upper side of the equipment.
The compaction module consists of a counter-pressure diaphragm that compacts the solid material that gets
discharged through the special chutes this equipment is provided with.

was designed to be integrated to other systems, part
of an installation, in order to realize a well determined application.
IMPORTANT NOTE
It is recommended the installation of an hours counter in the control panel that allows the counting of the opera-
tion hours of each separator component.
This aspect is very important especially as regards possible wear problems.
Important
The terms “equipment”, “separator ” used in this manual refer to the same machine.
As components meant for installation in a plant, the separators- not fully provided with safety means
- have to be considered “partly completed machinery”. Therefore, they do not bear an EC marking.
It is forbidden to start the equipment unless the machine/plant in which it is to be installed has been
declared compliant with the Directive 2006/42/EC and further modifications.
3.1 General description of equipment
