8. Maintenance and cleaning
8.a. Safety precautions
Prior to embarking on any maintenance work the following precautions must be taken:
a)
Make sure all parts of the stove are cold.
b)
Make sure the ashes are completely cold and not burning.
c)
Use the individual protective gear as established by the EEC directive 89/391.
d)
Check that the main line switch is off (if an electrical thermostat is used).
e)
Make sure that the power supply cannot be switched on accidentally. Take the plug
out of the wall socket.
f)
Do not remove or disconnect parts of the water pipes if they are under pressure.
g)
Always use the most appropriate maintenance tools.
h)
Once the maintenance or repair work is finished reinstall all the protections and
reactivate all the safety devices before switching the stove back on.
8.b. Routine maintenance (for the user

8.b.1. Cleaning the stove
The stove requires a simple but frequent and thorough clean to guarantee it will work
properly and to ensure constant heat efficiency.
Daily cleaning:
Remove all the ash that has collected on the grid. Insert the angular shovel into the
lower combustion chamber and use a little brush to sweep the ash off the grid in the
upper combustion chamber. Sweep the ash to the openings of the injector block where it
can fall into the shovel. Remove the shovel with the ash and empty it.
