Danger: The connecting of the exhaust-pipe must not be connected with 
the following pipes: 
Chimney hoods which are already used for other heating systems (boilers, 
heaters, chimneys etc.); 
Ventilation systems (extractor hoods, ventilations etc.) even if they are  

                    running separately. 
 

Attention: Due to unfavourable conditions of the extractor hood (several 
bends, curves, unsuited chimney etc.) the smoke outlet may not work 
optimally. In such a case please contact the technical customer service. 

 
 
Extractor hood at the exterior/outside wall 

 
Attention: Before installing in residential buildings please contact the 
management of the tenement block and ask for permission. 
For installation according to the norms please take the following into 
consideration: 
 

For the vertical smoke outlet a wind and rain protection chimney must be installed. 
To guarantee a correct smoke outlet, the chimney must be away at least 30 cm from the 
exterior wall. 
In extremely windy areas and on the coast in general please always use a vertical H-
chimney. 
For installations of pipes outdoor please use double insulated steel pipes (resistant to 
weathering) in order to avoid condensation which can cause malfunction of the heater. 
Please seal up the opening between wall and pipe. 
 
 
 
Deduction on the roof with a “traditionally” chimney hood 
 
Referring to measure and used materials the chimney hood underlies the norms of UNI 
9615-9731. The exhaust pipe above a traditional chimney hood should correspond to the 
following rules: 
 
to check the chimney hood’s condition; old chimney hoods should be redeveloped 
through inserting an isolated steel pipe (with rock wool or vermiculite); 
the smoke can only be directly conducted to the chimney hood if the chimney measures 
inside at maximum 20 x 20 cm (diameter 20 cm) and if it is equipped with a inspection 
flap. 
 
 
 
 

Attention: If the inside of the chimney hood measures more, an isolated steel 
pipe (15 cm in diameter) should be inserted.  
 
make sure that the connecting at the chimney is sealed up 
please avoid the contact with flammable materials (beams) and  

               insulate them with heat-resistant materials.
