8. Initial Setup
Insert batteries in the transmitter and receiver units
• Both transmitter and receiver require 2 AAA size batteries each.
• Slide and remove the transmitter’s battery compartment cover.
• Insert 2 batteries with the right polarities.
• Close the battery compartment cover.
• Repeat steps 2 to 4 on the receiver.
NOTE
It is also possible to use rechargeable AAA batteries with 1.2V.
9. Connecting transmitter and receiver
Using the microphone with smartphone, tablet, Mac or laptop with
combo headphone/mic socket (TRRS socket).
Receiver
• Connect the receiver to the recording smartphone, tablet, Mac or
laptop.
• Use the TRRS cable. Plug the 3.5 mm connector (straight plug)
into the audio jack of your recording device.
• Insert the 90° plug of the connecting cable into the receiver‘s
“LINE OUT” socket.
• Insert earphone plug into the receiver’s “ ” socket for
monitoring sound if needed.
• Slide the ON/OFF switch to ON position. The LED indicator will
light up blue.
• Caution: Please do not mix up the plugs.
NOTE
Not all Android devices support an external microphone when
taking video. You may need to download a third-party app which
supports an external microphone.
