Modules 

The relay contact L can be supplied with 230 VAC external voltage. 
By closing the relay, the voltage applied to L will be switched to the second 
relay contact DO.  

The relay contact L is also equipped with two parallel connections. 

Therefore, the voltage can be applied via one or two conductors of cross sec-
tion > 2.5 mm². The voltage can also be supplied to the following modules via 
the second connection. 

The automatic or manual operating mode can be selected using the "man-
ual/automatic" switch. 
In the "automatic" operating mode, the relay is operated via the control system 
requiring a 24 V power supply fed in via the internal power jumper contacts of 
an adjacent supply module. 
In this operating mode, manual status transitions which may occur via the red 
"manual operation" switch (1/0) will be reset by the control system after less 
than 500 ms. 

In the "manual" operating mode, the relay cannot be switched via the control 
system. Operation can only be performed manually via the red "manual opera-
tion" switch (1/0). Moreover, the actuator can be switched without 24 V 
power supply.

The "manual" mode is indicated via the status LED and transmitted as status 
bit into the process image. 

The switched status "relay closed", "relay open" is indicated via the "manual 
operation" switch (1/0).
