Priming the Fuel System—Kohler Engine Only

If the fuel tank has been run completely dry or drained for service, it will be 
necessary to manually prime the fuel system.

To prime the fuel system:

1. Turn both the key switch on the machine, and the on-off switch on the control 

box, ON. This will open the fuel valve.

2. Loosen the bleed screw on the fuel filter and pump the lever on the fuel pump 

(a) 

until fuel flows freely from the bleed screw. Tighten the bleed screw.

3. Repeat this procedure for the fuel line bleed screw 

(b)
