Servicing the Fuel-Water Separator

Requirements

Machine shut down

„

New filter element

Procedure

Perform the procedure below to service the fuel water separator.

Note: 

In the interests of environmental protection, place a plastic sheet and a 

container under the machine to collect any liquid which drains off. Dispose of this 
liquid in accordance with local environmental protection laws.

1. To drain water from the bowl, open the valve 

(a)

.

 

2. To change the filter 

(c)

:

a. Unscrew the bowl 

(b)

.

b. Unscrew the filter cartridge 

(c)

.

c. Apply a film of diesel fuel to the O-ring of the bowl.
d. Screw the bowl onto the filter cartridge, hand tight.
e. Fill the filter with diesel fuel.
f. Apply a film of diesel fuel to the filter seal and screw the filter cartridge onto 

the housing, hand tight. Then, use a wrench and tighten it an additional 180°.

Result

The fuel-water separator has now been serviced.
