19. System settings
The system settings cover a range of basic settings for the charger. By default, these settings are set to the most
frequently used values.
You may need to change the settings depending on the batteries that you wish to charge/discharge.
Follow the steps below:
•
From the main menu, use the "INC." or "DEC." buttons to select "SYSTEM
SETTING ->".
• Press the "ENTER/START" button to confirm your selection.
The feature for monitoring the input voltage will be displayed first (see right-
hand picture).
Use the "INC." or "DEC." buttons to select the desired setting.
To change a setting, press the "ENTER/START" button. The corresponding setting will flash on the display.
Press the "INC." and "DEC." buttons to change the setting. Hold down the button to move through the
values more quickly.
Press the "ENTER/START" button to exit the settings. The selected setting will stop flashing. To configure
another setting, repeat the above steps.
Press the "BATT./STOP" button to return to the main menu.
The following section describes the different settings.
Input voltage monitoring
This function monitors the voltage at the charger input. This is useful when a 12 V car lead-acid battery is used to
power the charger. If the voltage drops below the preset value, the charging cycle will stop to prevent the car battery
from overdischarging.
When using a mains adapter to power the charger, select a voltage that is lower than the voltage delivered
by the mains adapter. The charger cannot detect whether it is powered by a car lead-acid battery or a mains
adapter.
For example, if you use a mains adapter with an output voltage of 12 V/DC to power the charger, configure
a voltage of 11 V/DC in the charger settings. The charger will not charge if you select the same or a higher
voltage.
