5. Safety instructions
Please read the entire operating instructions before using the product for the first time; they con

tain important information about the correct operation.
The guarantee/warranty will be void if damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance with the
operating instructions. Liability for any and all consequential damage is excluded!
We do not assume any liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper use
or the failure to observe the safety instructions! In such cases the guarantee/warranty is voided.
This device left the manufacture’s factory in a safe and perfect condition.
We kindly request that you as a user observe the safety instructions and warnings contained in this opera-
ting manual to preserve this condition and to ensure safe operation!
The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible for reasons of safety and
approval.
Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, the safety or the connection of the device.
Measuring instruments and accessories are not toys and have no place in the hands of children.
On industrial sites the accident prevention regulations of the association of the industrial workers’ society
for electrical equipment and utilities must be followed.
In schools, training centres, computer and self-help workshops, handling of measuring instruments must
be supervised by trained personnel in a responsible manner.
The voltage between the measuring sockets of the multimeter part and the ground potential must never
exceed 600 V DC/AC in CAT III.
You may not apply any voltage higher than >16 V/DC to the banana clips of the cable allocator component
(14 and 19). These contacts are only designed for signal and control voltages or for cables which do not
carry any voltage.
The test prods have to be removed from the measured object every time the measuring range is changed.
