lever. If your vehicle is equipped with an electronic parking brake,

Setting the parking brake

Pull the parking brake lever up firmly.

When the ignition is on, the indicator light 

 or 

 appears in

the instrument cluster display to show that the parking brake is

engaged

Releasing the parking brake

Pull the lever up slightly and press the release button
