Gas refrigeration
1. Turn gas line valve on propane tank to “ O N ” .
2. Move switch “ B" to center position “ GAS” .
3. Turn therm ostat control knob "A ” clockwise and set half-way
between “ OFF” and “ MAX” .
4. Turn knob “ C” to “ OPEN” and hold in this position for about
20-30 seconds to evacuate the gas line. Release to let knob
spring back to the neutral position.
5. Pull knob "C ” out of neutral position. Pull-push (pum p) in and
out 5-7 tim es and push in to spring pressure point.
6. Pull knob "C ” all the way out again, turn slowly to “ OPEN”
position to let gas flow through evacuated gas line.
7. Hold knob “ C" in “ OPEN” position and firm ly push in several
times. You will hear an a u dible click as soon as the pilot light
com es on. Release knob.
If pilot light fails to ignite, repeat steps 4-7. This m ay be
necessary if gas refrigerator has not been used for some
time or if outside tem perature is low.
8. Turn “ GAS” knob “ F” to “ ON” position.
9. With pilot light on, the indicator needle in gas flow gauge
“ D" will move from white into green. Should needle remain
in the white field, turn and hold knob “ C” in “ OPEN” position
for another 15 seconds.
10. When pilot light is on, and the gas flow gauge “ D” indicator
needle remains in the green field, a therm ocouple maintains
control of the gas flow autom atically.
After a few m inutes, assure yourself once more that the pilot
light is burning. You can see it through the sight glass in
the lower lefthand corner of the rear wall inside the re
frigerator. Should the pilot light go out unexpectedly, the
therm ocouple will autom atically shut off the gas flow. Check
to see whether knob “ C” has returned to neutral. If not, it
must be returned manually. The therm ocouple can function
only with knob “ C ” in neutral.
W hen gas refrigeration is not needed, turn GAS knob “ F” to
“ O FF” .
