5.8.4. Time Configuration
This page contains all time and date settings.
Time and date can be set manually or can be updated by a SNTP server.
Set time using an SNTP server
In case the phone has a static IP address and the administrator defines an SNTP server
hostname it is important to define a valid DNS server IP address in the V-IP400
configuration setting (“Network” section of the web interface). Furthermore, if the SNTP
server is running outside of your LAN, the administrator must enter a valid gateway IP
address in the web interface (“Network” section) to establish a connection between the
phone and the SNTP server.
In order to connect the V-IP400 with the SNTP server, the administrator should specify the
SNTP server hostname (or IP address), choose the proper time-zone (England GMT + 00),
enable
Daylight , select the time acquisition timeout (default: 60 secs) and enable the select
sntp checkbox. At the end of the configuration press Apply .
