Arming and
Disarming
•
To disassemble the stationary element, an axial force must be generated to it, with a suitable element that does
not damage the seal face.
8.3
Pump Assembly
•
Please note that the following instructions are valid for all AM series pumps.
•
Pump assembly should be performed in a clean environment, free of dust and other contaminants.
•
Have all the necessary parts and pieces.
•
Parts damaged by natural wear, or that have reached their useful life, or that were damaged during the
disassembly operation, must be replaced by original spare parts.
•
It is often necessary to replace the O™Ring Pump Body - Union Body, (fig.3 - 19.01).
•
The bolts must be tightened so that they do not loosen and in turn so that the thread is not damaged.
Table Nº 4 shows the recommended torque for the different bolt sizes according to their solicitation.
Photographic Sequence Nº 6
Pump assembly is basically the reverse sequence of disassembly. Consider the following sequence.
1.- Make sure that the motor shaft, figure 3-100.01, is in its maximum outward position during the entire assembly process. The
shafts of the electric motors have axial movement, which varies in magnitude, direction and sensitivity depending on the make
and model of the motor, some models even have a momentary locking system for this movement.
2.- Place the shaft clamp, figure 3-23, and the water shortening rubber, figure 3-38, momentarily on the motor shaft.
3.- Mount and fix the union body, figure 3-3, to the motor by means of the corresponding bolts. Figure 3-25.13, applying the
torque shown in table No. 6.
4.- Mount the stationary face in the housing provided for it in the bearing body.
