Pump Disassembly
•
Please note that the following instructions are valid for all AM Series pumps.
•
For better understanding in each case the parts involved are highlighted in yellow color.
8.2.1
Disassembly of the Pump Body (Photographic sequence Nº 1)
•
To uncouple the pump casing (fig.3 - 2), remove the fastening bolts (fig.3 - 25.01) between the pump casing
and the connecting body of the unit (fig.3 - 3).
•
Subsequently, the pump body is removed, generating an Axial-Radial movement, which allows its easy
disassembly. Keep in mind that between the Pump Body and the Union Body there is an O™ ring (fig.3 -
19.01), which must be removed during this operation.

8.2.2
Impeller Disassembly (Photographic Sequence No. 2)
•
Keep in mind that the impeller also includes the shaft that connects it to the drive shaft and should not be
separated.
•
To disassemble the impeller (fig.3 - 1.07) loosen and remove the shaft clamp fastening bolts (fig. 3- 25.22).
•
The impeller is then pushed axially outward using suitable tools. Until it is released.
•
After the impeller is removed, it comes out with part of the mechanical seal. Sometimes it is necessary to
assist the axial traction with additional mechanical elements such as bars.
