GENERAL USE & SAFETY WARNINGS
While using this device, several basic safety precautions
must always be followed in order to reduce the risk of
fire, electric shocks and personal injuries.
Read and understand the manual before start operating
this equipment. Save this manual for future reference.
General
These preventive measures are essential for your safety. Use
the machine always with care, in a responsible way and taking
into account that the user is responsible for any accidents
caused to third parties or their goods.
The machine may only be used by who have read the instruction
manual and is familiarized with the handling. Before using it for
the first time, the user must be instructed by the vendor or
other competent person about the use of the machine and
should obtain appropriate and practical instructions.
This instruction manual in an integral part of the machine and
must be always provided.
Never allow this machine to be used by children, people with
limited physical, sensorial or mental capabilities, with lack of
experience and knowledge of this equipment and who is not
familiar with the instructions.
This equipment must only be operated as described in
this instruction manual. No other use is allowed besides
the described.
For safety reasons, any changes other than the assembly of
accessories authorized by the manufacturer are prohibited. Any
changes made void the warranty.
You can obtain any information about the authorized
accessories through your VITO official distributor.
using the batteries
An incorrect use of batteries can result in damage to the
equipment and injury to the user.
For safe handling of the batteries, note the following safety
instructions:
▪
Do not throw the batteries into fire;
▪
Do not provoke a short-circuit with the batteries;
▪
Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries;
▪
Check the batteries regularly. Spilled acid from batteries can
cause permanent damage to the equipment;
▪
Take special care when handling damaged or acid-leaking
batteries. Wear protective gloves;
▪
Keep batteries out of children’s reach;
▪
Remove the batteries from the equipment if you do not
intend to use it for a long period of time.
Before operating
Check for eventual external damages. Never attempt to operate
the device if it is damaged or has visible damages.
Avoid installing the programmer in places with constant sun
exposure.
Technical assistance
The device should be repaired by the brand’s technical service
or by a qualified person, and only with original spare parts.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
During assembly you shall take into consideration some cares
and procedures in order to avoid accidents, damaging the
equipment and increase its service life:
▪
The programmer should be assembled in a vertical position,
with the water inlet facing up;
▪
Only use water from the building water supply network;
▪
Avoid foldin g the device’s hose;
▪
Do not expose the device to low temperatures. Before the
first frost, store it in a dry, ice-free place.
Placing the batteries
1. Hold the device and pull out the control panel (5);
2. Unscrew the fixing screws and remove the battery
compartment;
3. Connect the battery to the correct polarity. Positive pole (+)
of the battery connected to the red connecting cable pole;
4. Insert the battery into the battery compartment and tighten
the fixing screws.
Ensure that the sealing rubber is well placed and the screws
properly tightened to prevent water entrance;
5. Attach the control panel to the device. Ensure that the
connection terminals are properly placed.
Water filter assembly
1. Insert the filter into the water inlet with the metal mesh
facing outwards.
Never use the timer without the filter.
