GENERAL SAFETY AND USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
When using electric machinery, you should take
basic safety precautions to avoid the risk of fire,
electric shock and personal injury.
Always read the safety, operating and
maintenance instructions before you start using
your electric machinery. Keep the instruction manual
for future reference.
General
It is your responsibility to follow these preventive
measures in order to ensure your own safety. Always
use the pump carefully and responsibly. In using the
pump, you accept full responsibility for any accidents
caused to third parties or their property during its use.
Persons who have not read the instruction manual must
not use the pump. Users must familiarize themselves
with how to handle the pump before attempting to
operate it. Before using the pump for the first time,
users should be instructed by the seller or any other
qualified person on how to use the pump. Users must
ensure they are instructed adequately and practically.
The instruction manual is considered an integral part of
the pump and must always be made available alongside
the product.
Familiarize yourself with the control devices and usage
of the pump. In particular, the user must know how to
stop the pump quickly.
Do not use the pump if you are not both physically and
mentally well. Do not use the pump while you are tired
or under the influence of medication, drugs or alcohol.
If you have a health problem, ask your doctor if it is safe
for you to use the pump before doing so.
Never allow the pump to be used by children, persons
with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities,
persons with lack of experience and knowledge of the
pump, or others unfamiliar with the instructions for use.
Do not use the pump in aquariums or tanks
containing fish.
The pump may only be used as stated in this
instruction manual. Any other use, which may be
dangerous and may cause injury to the user or damage
to the pump, is not permitted.
For safety reasons, any alteration to the pump other
than installing accessories specifically authorized by the
manufacturer, is prohibited. The warranty on your
pump will be voided if you alter it in any way.

Electrical Safety Instructions
Make sure that the voltage of your electricity
supply is 230V 50Hz with differential protection.
Plug your pump's power cable into a plug with these
specifications.
The differential switch connected to the supply circuit
must be set to trip when there is a maximum fault
current of 300 mA, and allow for rated currents greater
than 6A.
According to the VDE 0100 standard, pumps may
only be used in swimming pools, lakes and garden
fountains when the circuits that supply the pumps are
fitted with differential switches. Do not use the pump if
there are people are in the pool or garden pond.
Protect outdoor outlets from moisture. If there is a risk
of flooding, install outlets in a location that cannot be
flooded or install properly protected outlets.
Protect the power cord, plug and outlet from coming
into contact with heat, oil and sharp objects. If the
power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
qualified technician. It must not be repaired.
Before you start working
Ensure the pump is only used by users who have
familiarized themselves with the instruction manual.
Before using the pump, replace any defective, worn or
damaged parts.
To ensure that you operate the pump safely, before
beginning to operate it, make sure that:

The pump has been put together correctly;

All the pump's safety features are in perfect
condition and working order. Never use the pump if
any safety features are missing, damaged or worn;

The water inlet and turbine housing are clean and
free of obstructions. You run the risk of causing
serious damage to your pump if it is operated while
containing debris it has accumulated.
