1.
Release the throttle
trigger (7) and set the “ON/OFF”
switch (8) to “OFF” position.
In case of imminent danger or emergency, stop the engine
immediately. Turn the ON/OFF switch to the
“OFF" position.
After starting, the engine is running at mid-speed between
idle and full speed.
The engine speed is set using the throttle trigger (7).
1.
The engine speed is set using the throttle trigger;
2.
When the throttle trigger is fully pressed, the engine
reaches its maximum speed.
Adjust the engine's rotation speed to the type of work you
are going to do. Always remember that the higher the
engine speed, the greater the speed of the cutting
attachments, the greater the noise and the fuel
consumption.
Two types of cutting blades can be used for cutting, grass
cutting blade and brush knife. Never use grass cutting
blades to cut brushwood.
Grass cutting blade:
▪
A grass cutting blade is used to cut all kinds of tall
weeds;
▪
The grass is cut by swinging the brush cutter from side
to side like a scythe (scything motion), where the motion
from right to left is the cutting stage and the motion from
left to right is the return stroke. Avoid previously cut
green waste during the return stroke;
▪
If the blade is leaned to the left when brushing, the grass
builds up in a line, which makes it easier to catch.
▪
Let the support cup touch the floor gently. It is used to
protect the blade from touching the floor.
Brush knife:
▪
A brush knife is used to cut/trim brushwood, shrubs or
wild vegetation with a maximum diameter of 12mm;
▪
When you cut the brushwood or shrubs, place the blade
very close to the soil (as if cutting with a scythe);
▪
Cut wild vegetation from top to bottom by layers, keeping
the blade at a level below the user's waist. However,
when bigger the distance between the blade and the
ground, bigger the risk of flying particles. For this reason,
the user shall have extra attention when performing this
way;
▪
Always operate the brush cutter with the trigger fully
pressed to avoid the accumulation of debris in the blade
tip;
▪
Avoid contact of the blade with hard objects (rocks,
stones, tree trunks). Otherwise, the brush cutter may be
thrown violently in the opposite direction to the rotation
of the blade. You risk what's called kickout or blade
thrust. Kickout can be violent enough to make you lose
the control of the brush cutter.
Kickout may occur without prior warning. Blade
kickout/thrust is more likely to occur in areas where it is
difficult to see the material to be cut.
Blade thrust may also occur if you try to cut down
small trees, shrubs or bushes with a diameter greater
than that recommended by the manufacturer.
Always place the plastic protective caps over the
blade’s
teeth when the blade is being used and during transport.
