under warm water jet.
TIPS
•
Before making coffee, warm up the cup by
setting it on the cup warming tray (1).
•
Coffee strength depends on the quality and
grinding degree of coffee beans.
•
For making espresso, use only fresh ground
coffee for “espresso” coffee makers.
•
Slightly tamp the ground coffee in the filter
(17 or 18) with the back side of the measur-
ing spoon (19).
•
If coffee is pouring out too slow, this means
the coffee powder is too fine or it is tamped
too strongly.
•
If the coffee powder is too coarse, hot
water will pass through the coffee too
fast and the drink taste will not be rich enough.
•
For making frothed milk (for cappuccino or
latte), use fresh cold milk without preserva-
tives, do not use so-called «long storage» milk.
•
Use ordinary whole milk with fat content from
4 to 6%, cream fat content should be not less
than 10%.
DESCALING
For effective operation of the coffee maker we
recommend to remove scale every month and
more often when using “hard” water.
Regular descaling extends the coffee maker’s
operating life and eliminates the necessity of
repair works.
Untimely descaling, non-observance of these
instructions and mishandling the coffee maker
are not covered by warranty.
Note:
You can use special descaling agents for
coffee makers and coffee machines to remove
scale.
Strictly follow their manuals.
–
Make sure that the unit is unplugged and
the power switch (7) button is in the «0»
position.
–
Prepare a citric acid solution (2 tea spoons per
1 liter of water). Fill the tanks (8 and 12) with
the solution until the mark «MAX» and install
them back to their places.
–
Insert the filter (17 or 18) into the holder (14).
–
Attach the filter holder to its place with-
out putting coffee into the filter (17 or 18)
(pic. 2).
–
Place a suitable cup on the tray (6).
–
Insert the power plug into the mains socket
and set the switch (7) to the position «I». Wait
until the unit heats up (the control panel (2)
illumination lights constantly).
–
Perform the actions described in the chap-
ters «Cleaning the coffee maker» and
«Washing the cappuccinatore pipe (4)»
(chapter “Before the first use”).
–
After cleaning, wash the coffee maker with
clean water repeating the actions described
in the chapters «Cleaning the coffee maker»
and «Washing the cappuccinatore pipe (4)».
CLEANING
