7.1.1.2.
Status
Parameter
Function
Required Rate
The value displayed is the calculated available bitrate,
based on the symbol rate, FEC, modulation scheme
Incoming Rate
This value is measured from the ASI IN, Encoder or MUX
function and when these parameters are set manually, the
incoming rate must always be less than the required rate. If
this rule is broken, an alarm is raised to indicate the
problem.
7.1.1.3.
BUC
Parameter
Function
BUC LO
LO (local Oscillator) The output from the DVE6100 is always
L-Band between 950MHz and 2150MHz. The front panel
display can show the final system output frequency of the
system instead, taking into account the local oscillator
frequency of the succeeding SHF block up-converter.
The following BUC choices can be made:
L- Band direct display has no local oscillator frequency – select NONE.
C-Band assumes local oscillator of 4900MHz.
X-Band assumes local oscillator of 6500MHz
Ku-1-Band assumes local oscillator of 11800MHz.
Ku-2 Band assumes local oscillator of 12800MHz.
Ku-3 Band assumes local oscillator of 13050MHz.
Ku-4 Band assumes local oscillator of 16350MHz.
Ku-5 Band assumes local oscillator of 16900MHz.
Ku-6 Band assumes local oscillator of 15450MHz.
Note that Ku-6 is “high side LO” therefore:
950MHz = 14.5GHz
1700Mhz = 13.75GHz
7.1.1.4.
10MHz Reference
Enabling this menu inserts a precision 10MHz signal into the L-band output for
locking any subsequent external HPA or SSPA. Set this option set to off if it is not
required.
7.1.1.5.
18V Supply
18V DC may be enabled on the main L-Band output using this menu option, so as
to power an external SHF block up-converter, maximum current 1A;
Press ESCAPE to return up a menu level.
