IV. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. DESCRIPTION
2. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Always observe the following precautions, especially in the presence of children. Read
these instructions carefully before starting up your humidifier :
- Do not fill beyond the “MAX” level.
- Do not use for as long as the tank is empty, and never attempt to operate the
humidifier without water.
- Do not touch the ultrasound plate.
- Clean regularly in accordance with the maintenance instructions to avoid any failure.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before any maintenance work
(cleaning, storing) or when it is not used.
- For reasons of hygiene, after use, drain the water from the tank, and then wipe with
a clean and dry cloth.
- Essential oils can cause stains. In case of contact, wipe with a soft cloth.
- Use the graduated container to add water. Never fill the tank directly from the tap.
- Do not send the steam toward furniture, clothing, a wall, etc.
- Keep away from direct sunlight, heat sources, air conditioners or fans.
- Always place the appliance on a flat stable surface, not on a carpet or a rug, on a quilt
or any unstable surface.
- Do not let the product tip over, because this may allow water into the mechanism
II. INFORMATIONS
What is a humidifier used for ?
The humidifier allows you to restore and maintain an optimum rate of humidity (50% -
60%) to improve the well-being of the whole family. The humidifier is also an excellent
air purifier: the micro particles of water vapour released capture aerosols in suspension
(bad smells, cigarette smoke, dust, mite debris, allergen pollen) and takes them to the
floor. The air is thus “cleaned” and rid of its impurities.
Good humidification is essential to the health of the baby
The humidity content of the baby’s room is an important element to monitor to ensure
a healthy atmosphere and good nights for the baby. Many studies show a correlation
between the frequency of respiratory infections and an inappropriate humidity level.
A baby needs a ambient humidity of 55 to 60%. If the humidity level is too low (less
than 50%), the child will suffer from dry skin, allergic conjunctivitis, bronchitis and nasal
infections (the mucous membranes dry out, become irritated and then become much
more sensitive to microbes). Repeated obstructive bronchitis in infants are also the
result. In winter, the humidity can be insufficient; the air inside becomes drier, lack of
ventilation, excessive confinement of dwellings, electric heating. The body reacts to
this lack of water and feels discomfort. To improve the humidity rate, paediatricians
recommend the use of an air humidifier.
The advantages of ultrasound technology
Ultrasound transforms steam into fine particles of negative ions which purify the
ambient air and have a pacifying effect.
