1. Disconnect the appliance and remove the cover.
2. Drain the tank.
3. Disconnect the AC adapter from the appliance (see under the appliance).
4. Put a tablespoon of citric acid (lemon juice) and 100 ml of hot water (temperature
above 70°C) in the tank. You can also replace the lemon juice with 4 tablespoons of
white vinegar in 100 ml of hot water.
5. Leave it to work for 5 minutes and empty the tank once again.
6. Dry the tank with a dry cloth without touching the membrane.
ATTENTION
- Do not dry the membrane with a dry cloth, because this can damage it.
- Do not use acids, enzymes or detergents to clean the air humidifier. This may give off
toxic gas or cause malfunctions.
- Never clean the appliance when it is running or connected to the mains. Be sure to
disconnect the device during cleaning.
CAUTION
- The use of essentials oils with the Humidoo® is limited to 2/3 DROPS OF ESSENTIAL
OILS PER 100 ML OF WATER.
- To maintain an optimum quality level of this product, please clean it after EVERY 5/6
USES OR 2/3 DAYS OF USE, especially if you use essential oils and/or very hard water.
A different use and maintenance from the above-mentioned instructions may lead
to damages on the product, for which Visiomed® cannot be held responsible for. No
exchange will be done if the membrane of the air humidifier is damaged.
Frequently asked questions :
- What product can be used to clean the air humidifier membrane ?
A: Mild detergent (without solvent or abrasive), slightly acidic detergent (1 to 3 drops,
diluted in 100 ml of water), white vinegar or citric acid (lemon juice).
- What must I do if my water is very hard ? If scale builds up ?
A: If you find scale on the membrane, we advise you to clean it with a cotton swab,
moistened with one of cleaning products recommended in this manual. If your
water is very hard, we advise you to clean your appliance more regularly, so you do
not allow it to become scaled.
- What product should not be used for cleaning the membrane ?
A: NEVER use abrasive product (scouring cream, baking soda, etc.), solvents (90°
alcohol, bleach, ammonia, etc.).
