The standards differentiate between pipe series 1, 2 and 3. They recom-
mend using installation pipe series 1 as pipe series 2 and 3 are either
not or not always available in practice. Pipe series 1 includes seamless
pipes and pipes welded along the longitudinal seam, see

used to secure the pipes.
