Firmware & Logic Upgrades

Firmware upgrades

Firmware upgrades may be applied using the Vi-SA2 configuration
manager running on a PC with an USB-to-RS485 interface.

Firmware may also be updated using a Microchip ICD3 programming
interface and Microchip MPLAB IPE (2.26 or later). Connect to the internal
header marked “CPU”.

Logic upgrades

The programmable logic may be upgraded using an ALTERA USB Blaster
and ALTERA Quartus II Web Edition (version 13 or later). Connect to the
internal header marked “PLD”.
