Drive belts tension adjustment
Because the drive parts are mounted with bolts in slotted holes, one can adjust the belt tension by
moving the drive parts.
W A R N I N G !
•
Remove the tractor’s ignition key and put it in your pocket before
checking and adjusting the belts.
•
Never run the machine with the pulley cover removed.

Ensure the drive belts are cold.
◼
Remove the pulley cover (1).
◼
Untighten both flange mounting bolts (2).
◼
Untighten the four gearbox bracket mounting bolts (3).
◼
Untighten the securing nuts of both tensioning bolts (4 & 5).
◼
Use the tensioning bolts and nuts to move the driveshaft assembly until the belt tension is
correct. Move both sides simultaneously.
◼
Ensure that the driveshaft assembly aligns parallel with the mower's top side. Correct if
necessary. See the following figure.

Tighten all nuts (2 & 3).
◼
Secure all nuts of both tensioning bolts.
◼
Install the pulley cover.
