Pre-Ride Inspections
Front Brake Lever
1. Pull the front brake lever toward the
handlebar and hold it. The lever should
move freely and smoothly. It should not
move more than 3/4 inch (19 mm)
before resistance is firm. It should con-
tinue to feel firm, without loss of pres-
sure, until the lever is released.
2. Release the lever. It should return to its
rest position quickly when released.
3. If the front brake lever fails to perform
as stated, service the brake lever before
riding.
