The ART-5450 has four D-sub 9-pin ports named COM1, COM2,
COM3 and COM4.

COM1 and COM2 Ports

The ART-5450 provides two D-sub 9-pin ports (COM1 and COM2)
for RS-232/422/485 serial communications on the front panel.

The default setting of COM1 and COM2 is RS-232. Both COM1
and COM2 can be configured to operate in RS-232, RS-422 or RS-
485 mode by adjusting the BIOS Setup items of “COM1 RS-
232/422/485 Type” and “COM2 RS-232/422/485 Type” in “Super
I/O COM Ports (UARTS)” of “Super I/O Device” of “Integrated
Peripherals” in the BIOS Setup menus.
