two or three times with a non-ammonia household
cleaner and warm water (gas fireplace glass cleaner
is recommended). After the initial cleaning process the
glass should be cleaned two or three times during each
operating season depending on the environment in the
house.
Clean the glass after the first two weeks of
operation.
Never clean the glass while it is still hot.
Never use abrasive cleaners.
Never strike or slam the glass.

Window Frame Assembly Removal
1. Turn the fireplace OFF (including the pilot).
2. If the unit has been operating, allow time for the
components to cool.
3. Remove two (2) bolts on bottom side of unit holding
front trim face on. (Fig. 32)
4. Remove front trim face by tilting bottom out and lift-
ing face off unit. (Fig. 32)
5. Remove two (2) bolts securing bottom door frame to
unit. (Fig. 31)
6. Tilt window frame assembly out slightly at the bot-
tom, lift the frame up and away from the fireplace.

7. To replace window frame assembly reverse proce-
dure.

Glass Cleaning
It is necessary to clean the glass periodically. During
start-up condensation, which is normal, forms on the
inside of the glass and causes lint, dust and other
airborne particles to cling to the glass surface. Also
initial paint curing may deposit a slight film on the glass.
It is therefore recommended the glass be cleaned
Removal and Re-fitting the Curve Face
The Curve face is fitted to the fireplace by hooking the
top edge of the face over the mounting brackets as
shown in Figure 32. Secure with two (2) screws on the
bottom face of the trim. (Fig. 32)

if the front glass panel is missing, open, cracked
or broken, as carbon monoxide poisoning could
result.
Always use a licensed, qualified service technician
to install replacement glass.
Always install genuine CFM Corporation
replacement glass in this fireplace. Authorized
replacement glass (complete with gasket and
window frame) is available from your CFM
Corporation dealer.
The installation of non-authorized replacement
glass will also void all product warranties.
