Puma Disc Inkjet Printer

ZZ 004 833 - 33 -

5. Approximately 20mm (3/4 inch) above the slide bar runs the linear encoder (see image above).

This encoder tells the print carriage where to stop horizontally. If it becomes contaminated with
ink, it may cause banding on the printed disc.

To clean the linear encoder, wipe it with a damp lint-free cloth.

Calibration

The Puma comes with its own calibration tool within the printer driver. If the printed image is
slightly off centre, you can re-align and re-centre the printed image.

For more information regarding calibration, please refer to section 10.6 (page 23) of the printer
user manual.
